En effet, pourquoi \u00e9tions-nous par exemple pr\u00eats \u00e0 exclure d\u2019embl\u00e9e les palmar\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par des fans sur YouTube et ce, simplement parce qu\u2019ils ne r\u00e9pondaient pas \u00e0 nos crit\u00e8res de rigueur? Qui \u00e9tions-nous en tant que chercheurs en jeu vid\u00e9o pour d\u00e9terminer les canons d\u2019un genre particulier?<\/p><p>Dans le cadre de ce projet de recherche, nous abordons des questions m\u00e9thodologiques et \u00e9pist\u00e9mologiques. Nous concentrons notre \u00e9tude sur quatre grandes \u00ab communaut\u00e9s discursives \u00bb : les fans et joueurs, les travailleurs de l\u2019industrie, les critiques et journalistes ainsi que les universitaires. Notre objectif est de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux strat\u00e9gies discursives et interpr\u00e9tatives de chacune de ces communaut\u00e9s. Nous analysons l\u2019utilisation de diff\u00e9rents \u00ab genres communicatifs \u00bb (palmar\u00e8s, texte d\u2019opinion, essai, critique audiovisuelle, etc.) pour mieux montrer comment ces derniers structurent (consciemment et parfois inconsciemment) la mani\u00e8re par laquelle les membres d\u2019une communaut\u00e9 partagent la m\u00eame conception d\u2019un genre vid\u00e9oludique et, par le fait m\u00eame, s\u00e9lectionnent les \u0153uvres qui le caract\u00e9risent. If we accept genre to be a fruitful model to identify the multiple kinds of video games that are out there, we have to account for its transformations, adaptations and reinventions. Admitting genre evolution requires us to properly address the topic of innovation that lies at its basis. Consequently, a model of innovation specific to the video game industry has to be devised.
