Researcher creations
Partitions virtuelles ludomusicales (PVL) [itch.io link]

PVL is a research-creation prototype that accompanies the research article “Virtual Ludomusical Partitions (PVL): Research-Creation Toward a Fusion of Music and Gaming,” by Dominic Arsenault, Jesse Aidyn, and Myriam Boucher (link).
Halfway between a rhythm game like Guitar Hero and a rhythmic skill game like Temple Run, PVL explores the principles of dual ludomusical semiosis by creating a virtual score where players must hit targets and avoid obstacles. Each miss transforms and creates permutations in the soundtrack; the video game becomes a driver of musical creation, just as music serves as a playful structure.
Programming: Jesse Aidyn
Concept: Dominic Arsenault, Jesse Aidyn, Myriam Boucher
Music: Multi-Memory Controller [link]
